    Why We Need You

Online Auction volunteers raise money for NPN by visiting neighborhood businesses and asking for donations for our online auction. A small staff team of only 5 part-time employees, NPN relies on the support of member volunteers to keep going! All money raised through the online auction goes toward programming and resources for Chicago families.

    What You Will Do

Visit businesses in the assigned 2-3 blocks to ask for donations to NPN’s online auction. NPN will provide volunteers with supporting material (business cards, flyers, etc.) to support your request. Choose your blocks from the list below!

Follow up with businesses over the phone or email as needed

Keep a designated NPN staff member updated on your progress

Note: We ask for donations of digital gift cards, so pick-up of physical items will be minimal.

    Time Commitment

Five hours total over two months. One to two hours of visiting businesses, with the remaining 3 - 4 hours used for following up by email and phone over the following weeks. Volunteers are needed between August 2023 and February 2024.
