Our education lights the fires of enthusiasm, creates a sense of agency in the world, offers teaching that is an art form based on love for the children, and fosters a community of mutual support and conscious parenting. We innovate on the 100-year-old Waldorf teaching tradition to engage today’s child intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our hands-on curriculum unfolds in time with the developmental stages of childhood, from the busy preschooler to the newly self-aware 3rd grader, from the “golden year” of 5th grade to the exciting complexities encountered in the 8th grade. We’re focused on the person your child will become: curious, compassionate, self-reliant. Our graduates are ready to excel academically and socially in the environment of their choosing. Find out why our alumni successfully get into the high schools of their choice with the confidence and strong academic foundation that they will need to be engaged, global citizens.

    The Writing Sage

Writing college essays doesn't have to be a painful affair! It's actually an opportunity for creativity and growth. It can even be--dare I say? Fun. Perhaps you feel like your entire future is hinging on these 650 words, and any excitement you have about what may lie on the other end of the admissions process is eclipsed by your anxiety about the application itself. Okay, that's not so fun. But there is another way! Enter moi - your college essay coach and new best friend. I'll help you: - Stand out in your application - Strategically plan your essays so they highlight your best attributes - Capture your personality in writing - Stay organized and ahead of schedule - Cultivate clarity and confidence
  4. At Resurrection Preschool, our philosophy is simple: as educators, we help each child gain a positive self-concept, a sense of competency, and a love of learning. Our classroom activities focus on the “whole child,” including each child’s social, language, cognitive, emotional, and physical development. We also place emphasis on balancing child-selected activities with teacher-directed activities. Started in 1970 by Resurrection Lutheran Church, Resurrection Preschool & Toddler Program has been offering a high quality education for 2-5 year olds since its inception. Our play-based, developmentally appropriate program works to build within each child a positive concept of self and others, a sense of competency, and a love of learning in a diverse classroom that welcomes children of all faiths, classes, and races.
  5. Like all of us in 2020, our founder, Morgan Dixon, was faced with the harsh reality of losing her job in wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. As terrifying as it was (still is), it’s in these moments that we’re forced to see what we’re made of. In May 2020, after 14+ years of working for various dance studios, community centers, schools, and theaters, Morgan realized it was time to do what scared but excited her most and set out to create My Art House Studio. Our goal is to provide affordable and inclusive dance and art classes that look beyond a final product and give our artists the tools needed to become kind-hearted, creative, and confident people through an artist-centered, integrated, and responsive teaching style that allows our artists to have a say in their creative journey and enhance their academic education. More about our founder: Morgan Dixon is a Florida native living in Chicago, IL with a BA in Dance from Columbia College Chicago and is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory. She has over 14 years experience teaching a wide variety of performing and creative arts to artists ages 2 to adult. Morgan didn’t begin dancing until the age of 14 due to a lack of funds and art exposure. Dance allowed her to be a first-generation college graduate despite many monetary and economic barriers. Traditional dance studio classes were expensive and, at times, inaccessible. Morgan constantly worked multiple odd jobs, relied heavily on the kindness of mentors, and acknowledges that her privileges helped keep dance in her life. It is with these experiences that Morgan has now dedicated herself to providing low cost, easy access classes to young artists across the country. My Art House Studio is just the beginning of her advocacy for arts education. We now offer 6 week courses! Join us once a week for 6 weeks as we dive deeper into our unique and carefully designed dance, crafts, and creative movement classes. All classes take place on Zoom, include weekly recommended activities outside of class, and are 30-45 minutes long. These courses give our artists the opportunity to build community, expand their creativity, build strength and feel confident! Next sessions: Week of January 4th- week of February 8th (Enrollment open NOW) Week of February 15th- week of March 22nd (Enrollment opens Jan 15th) Upcoming Courses: Kindergarten Boogie | Mondays| 3-330pm CST | Ages 3-6 Make & Move | Wednesdays | 3-3:45pm CST | Ages 4-6 Pop Dance Party | Wednesdays | 5:30pm CST | Ages 7-12 Story Time | Thursdays | 3:30-4:15pm CST | Ages 3-6

    Gatsby Chocolate

A little background on us at Gatsby Chocolate. My name is Doug, and I'm the cofounder of Halo Top Ice Cream. After selling Halo Top in 2019, I – along with a bunch of other Halo Top team members – were trying to figure out what to do next. We settled on chocolate after realizing quickly that there were no low-calorie chocolate options – literally none – even low-sugar chocolate products still had a ton of calories. So we got to work and spent over a year crafting the recipe for Gatsby Chocolate. We’re ecstatic with how it turned out and hope you will be too. It’s mind-blowingly great, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate that’s somehow way fewer calories!
