Explore Chicago with your Wee Ones!
Written by: Cindy McCarthy
We had a great time at the NPN Wake Up & Boogie Down Family Festival! We loved meeting so many Chicago families, and watching everyone bust-a-move!
On the go handed out walking/strolling maps of four kid-friendly Chicago neighborhoods at the event. Our hope is to inspire you to go explore a new neighborhood with your family. Each map contains a park and a handful of kid-friendly businesses and restaurants. You can play, shop and eat your way through these great spots! The highlighted businesses generously donated a gift certificate to this weekend’s raffle.
We thought it would be fun to share these maps with the entire NPN community. So print out the attached maps, grab your stroller and go explore one of these Chicago ‘hoods! Kid-Sized Chicago Walking Maps:
- Roscoe Village – Fellger Park, Little Threads, John’s Place, Baby Take a Bow, Village Paperie, Musical Magic and Wishcraft.
- Lincoln Square – Welles Park, Bellybum Boutique, Old Town School of Folk Music, Costello’s, Timeless Toys, Sprouts, Pickles Playroom and Piggy Toes.
- Andersonville – Pierce Playlot, Alamo Shoes, Toys et Cetera, Women & Children First and Hamburger Mary’s.
- Wicker Park/Bucktown – Wicker Park, Jerry’s, Building Blocks Toy Store, Letizia’s Natural Baker, Enoteca Roma and Sew Crafty.
