Join WBEZ for a special conversation with NPR's Scott Simon about his new young adult novel Sunnyside Plaza. Sunnyside Plaza is a human story of empowerment, empathy, hope, and generosity. The book is about a developmentally different young adult that helps to solve crimes that occur in her group home.
This event will be moderated by Monica Eng, reporter for WBEZ's Curious City. Their discussion will be an insider's look into the world Scott describes in Sunnyside Plaza and attendees will have an opportunity to ask Scott questions about the novel. Scott will also discuss how he came to write the book and how fiction books can help change perspectives.
