Chicago School Choice

Thinking about preschool for your toddler and don't know where to start?  Confused by the myriad of choices?  Who knew deciding on a preschool program could be so overwhelming!

Join us for an informative discussion about the different prevailing preschool philosophies - featuring expert panelists from preschools across the city who will provide advice to parents about choosing the best type of program for your child and your family.

Topics for discussion include:

* Comparing play-based vs. academic programs

* What's the difference between Montessori vs. Waldorf vs. Reggio Emilia?

* Cooperatives and religious-based programs

* How to decide which program is the best fit for your child

Participating schools include:  Akiba-Schechter Jewish Day School in Hyde Park, Bennett Day School in River West, Chicago Waldorf School in Rogers Park, Daystar School in South Loop, Mary Meyer School in Lakeview/Lincon Park, Montessori Academy of Chicago in West Loop, Park West Cooperative Nursery School in Lincoln Park, and SmartLove Preschool in Logan Square.

Open to NPN members; adults only please. Space is limited, light dinner will be served. Please be respectful of our presenters & sponsors and honor your RSVP.
