Films on the Green Presents Arco by Ugo Bienvenu

Join us for the second Films on the Green screening in Chicago with Arco, a visually stunning French American animated adventure for children and families, featuring the voices of Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, Andy Samberg, and Flea.

Set in the year 2075, the film follows Arco, a boy from the distant future who accidentally lands in a fragile world where he meets Iris, a brave young girl, and her robot companion Mikki. Together, they embark on a journey that could change the fate of their world.

Produced by Natalie Portman and directed by Ugo Bienvenu, Arco combines breathtaking animation with a heartfelt story about friendship, imagination, and the urgent need to protect our planet.

Organized by Villa Albertine, the French Institute for culture and education in partnership with the Chicago Park District

Free and open to the public — no ticket required. No RSVP is required, but you can go here for more information and to reserve a spot.

NPN Horner Park Playdates

Though the school year is coming to an end, NPN playdates will continue through the summer!

Join us at Horner Park playground for a casual Sunday morning gathering. We'll set up 🫧 bubbles, 🎨 crafts, and 🧃juice boxes for the kids.

Not an NPN member? No problem! Bring a neighbor, friend from school, relative, or anyone you know who might be interested in connecting with other parents of young children.

Directions and Parking

The playground is on the northeast corner of the park by the field house, along California Ave, between Cullom and Montrose.

Free parking is generally available in the attached parking lot and on California Ave.

Look for a picnic table covered in an NPN tablecloth or other NPN signage, Yoona in an NPN t-shirt, or just a blanket on the ground with craft projects on top!

Queen of Angels "Let's Play"

Neighborhood parents and littles (ages 2-4) are invited to come out for a fun-filled morning of exploration and friendship on Saturday, July 18 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.! Guided by our Bridge Program teacher, Mrs. Claire Immonen, there will be movement activities and art. Dress for a little water and paint! There will be snacks and the chance to meet other neighborhood families. Siblings are welcome. This is the perfect opportunity to check out our space let your child play in a safe, joyful environment. Spaces are limited, so please register in advance.
