Known for his realistic style, Alex Ross has transformed the comic world into fine art. Using gouache paints, Ross brings classic comic book heroes and villains from the Marvel and DC universes to life. The exhibition features 100 portraits, each capturing a character’s individual attitude. Immersive, larger-than-life murals invite visitors to strike a pose with their favorite superhero or villain.
Alex Ross: Heroes and Villains will be the inaugural exhibition to be held in the newly expanded 3,000-square-foot East gallery space of the Dunn Museum, located approximately 30 miles North of Chicago, and will be on view from June 29, 2025 through February 16, 2026.
