Are You Parenting Like a Caveman?

Discipline That Works

Do you ever wonder why sometimes your discipline strategies work and sometimes they don’t? Do you find yourself disciplining your children in ways that don’t feel good in your heart?  Do you wonder if your methods are effective?  This enlightening and entertaining workshop helps parents understand what makes discipline effective and why some common discipline practices are unhelpful in the long run. With guidance from Karen Jacobson, MA, LCPC, LMFT from Parenting Perspectives, you'll be much better prepared to tackle any "situations" that may arise this holiday season!

Parents will gain insight into why children misbehave and how best to meet their emotional needs. Learn to:

-- Connect with your child, prevent misbehavior and gain cooperation

-- Set limits effectively

-- Discipline without yelling; get results without punishment

-- Use logical consequences effectively

-- Encourage responsibility

-- Feel calmer and enjoy being a parent

This workshop applies to parents with children of any age - toddlers to teens! Bring your questions & concerns - our amazing panelists are here to help!

Event includes amazing FREE raffle and wine, snacks and sweet treats! Special thanks to our presenting sponsor COUNTRY Financial.

Open to member adults only. Lap children welcome, but please keep in mind we like to maintain a quiet atmosphere for our speakers and other guests. Questions? Contact jay@npnparents.org.
