IEP 101: Navigating Support Services in CPS @ Erikson Institute · May 24, 2017

Chicago School Choice

Seeking information for diverse learning opportunities for your school-bound child and don't know where to start?

What is an IEP?  What is a 504 plan?

What's the difference between the two?

How do I even know my child needs one or the other?

Join us for an informative discussion about special education through the Chicago Public School System.  Carrie Shonk, mother and school social worker with nearly a decade of experience within CPS, will share her extensive knowledge and insights into finding and receiving the support needed by diverse learners and their families.  Carrie will walk parents through Individual Education Plans (IEP) and 504 Plans, as well as supports available to students within the general education population.

Please RSVP; space is limited. Please be respectful of our presenter & sponsors and honor your RSVP.

Special thank you to our host sponsor, Erikson InstituteCenter for Children and Familes and the Fussy Baby Network for their support of this program.
