Kiss 'n Go? Handling Separation Anxiety for Preschool & Beyond @ Erikson Institute · Aug 20, 2015

Chicago School Choice

Are you and your child ready to "Kiss ‘n Go"?

The first day of preschool is approaching and you wonder how to help your child manage separating from you and getting comfortable in their new classroom. While new developmental steps always bring some challenges, there are many ways parents can support their child and help them reach a new level of competence, learning, and growth.

Come join the disussion with Dr. Margret Nickels, Ph.D., director of the Erikson Institute Center for Children and Families, who will cover these topics and more:

* How to help children prepare for and cope with the transition to school

* Strategies and tools you can use to prepare your child for school and to help them adjust to new routines

* Identify and address forms of separation anxiety your child may be experiencing

* How parents can manage their own feelings about this big step in their child’s life

Open to NPN members and non-members - space is limited, please RSVP. You will receive an e-confirmation after registering. Please be respectful of our presenter and honor your RSVP.

Special thank you to our host sponsor, Erikson InstituteCenter for Children and Familes and the Fussy Baby Network for their support of this program.
