Childcare 101: The real scoop on childcare centers
Maternity leave almost over. New work clothes (for my slightly larger size!) hanging in the closet. To-do list of back to work tasks ready to go. Childcare for my 2 month old- wait, WHAT!?
To be honest, looking for childcare for my son was almost enough to make me completely re-consider this whole going back to work thing. Thankfully, with great advice from friends and a few terrific recommendations from the NPN Discussion Board, I...Posted on March 08, 2011 at 7:21 PM
It started as a simple idea: let's do something to celebrate NPN and give back to this unique organization that has given so much to us as parents. Hard to believe our baby, Wake Up & Boogie Down Family Festival, is now 3-years-old and a moving and grooving toddler! It has become a highly anticipated event and each year seems to get even better than the last. This year we are thrilled to have exceeded our goal with 500 attendees and more than $7,500 raised. Thank you for celebrating...Posted on March 05, 2011 at 5:06 PM
If your kids are anything like mine, you have all sorts of tricks up your sleeve to get your child to eat a few bites of veggies. In February, Lara Field, a registered dietician and certified specialist in pediatrics, spoke at the Working Moms group luncheon and gave me new hope and much better tools to help our family. Lara shared so many great tips! Below are a few highlights:
After shopping, cut up fresh vegetables and fruit and put into easily accessible containers so you and...
Wow - we finally dug out of our own NPN Forums 2011 Bliz-aster! While trying to import our 200,000 discussion forum posts and hundreds of thousands of forum replies - the server came to a screeching halt. The outage was required to repair the forums issues caused by this import .
We are listening to all of your feedback (good + bad) and thank you for your patience and understanding. Please bear with us as we make changes and try to give you the best NPN website experience we can.

A new year and whole new look! What a change from our first website in 2003! From 100 members to today’s community of 5,000 and growing, we’ve come a long way. Thanks for helping us reach this huge milestone by supporting NPN as we worked to make this happen.
We appreciate your patience as we smooth out all of our hiccups. You know how feisty newborns can be!
So, what can you expect from the new face of NPN? Everything you love about NPN is still near and dear to our hearts - enhancing...Posted on January 25, 2011 at 10:45 PM
