Picky Eating at Holiday Time

'Twas the holiday dinner and all through the ‘morn 

I slaved roasting turkey and dressing and corn

A feast full of holiday textures and smells

We gathered for dinner and it all went to ………

Stella, our little one, fell to the floor.

She screamed and she flailed and she ran for the door.

No turkey!  No corn!  No potatoes!  No beans!

Just give me my yogurt.  I won’t make a scene.

NPN's Day at the Theatre- Good Night Moon PJ Party!

Dancing bunny? Singing mouse? Cow jumping over the moon? Hilarious, laugh-out loud fun (for both parents AND kids)? Yep, the Chicago Children’s Theatre production of Good Night Moon the Musical had it all! THE Chicago Birthday Party Guide

Planning a birthday party was so easy for our parents.  They hung streamers and balloons, made a cake, invited kids, played “Pin the Tail on the Donkey” and called it a day.  I suppose that if we had more space in our city dwelling, it would be that easy for us, too.  That just isn’t the case for most city parents.  We have limited space to entertain all of our kids’ friends and most of our kids need more direction than one simple game or they become unruly.
