Most people have had the experience of coming across an item, a song, a food, or something else that, in a split-second, whisks them back to another day (Who said that time travel is impossible? I beg to differ!). These flashbacks are the idea behind the upcoming May 6th Listen To Your Mother show. Don't miss the video clips from prior performances below - you will be grateful for the laughs, tears, and smiles.
As a parent, the occasional memory jog is a special joy. Childhood i...Posted on April 03, 2012 at 8:45 AM

One of my family’s favorite things to do in the summer is visit the farmer’s markets. Live music, locally crafted foods, a vendor who has become our friend, and I love to expose my kids to it all. We love Chicago’s Green City Market – it’s one of the city’s biggest and it promotes local, sustainably grown foods. They also have great kids programs, Sprouts Club and Edible Gardens, where my toddlers have had a chance to touch and taste seasonal produce they may otherwise shy away from. I’m not going to sugar-coat things – bedtime with my older daughter wasn’t easy! No matter how tired she appeared, I just couldn’t convince her that sleep was a necessary part of life. We finally figured out that spending a few minutes reading with the lights turned low could do wonders. One of our favorite pre-bedtime reads was the classic Good Night Moon. Now, I’m so excited to revisit our old bedtime tradition in a whole new way by taking her to see Good Night Moon the Musical presente...Posted on September 09, 2011 at 6:00 AM
