1st Rule of Sticker Club: Smile & Just Do It!

What is your 1st thought as a busy parent when you see an email come through with the title: "Come play - Sticker Club” and inside are all the makings of a chain letter - send it to 6 people and you get 36 letters with stickers in return?

At first, I admit, I was Debbie Downer about it.  Can I convince 6 other parents to participate given my reaction?  Do I have the time to deal with this?  After ignoring the email for a few days, I finally decided to take the  plunge!

Want your kids to eat their veggies – try gardening!

Recently, I had a very unexpected moment – my 4 year old got excited about herbs and veggies – a fantasy few parents experience in a lifetime.  Normally, I can expect her to eat a few raw carrots and sometimes even a small portion of steamed veggies.  At home, we have lots of discussions about the “just one bite rule” or the “just shove it down bite” to make sure she tries new foods.  Occasionally, I sneak in a puree – but by this age, I think I’m at the point where my big girl should start t...

As I get ready to host a New Moms Group tomorrow, I think back to my own NMG experien...
