NPN 2012 School Fairs - What to Expect & How to Prepare

School Fair season has arrived! Since Chicago School Search is so overwhelming and parents want to make the most of their School Fair visit, we are here to help you get ready! 

The fair is set up as an expo with school, enirchment program, and childcare exhibitors set up in rows around the room.  Attendees can walk around and talk with representatives from public and private preschool and elementary schools, non-profits, and businesses with activities and services that cater to little ones...

Playtime Planner: A Star-Spangled Day Off

When a holiday/day-off arrives, most families begin the day with a nice slow start, a “lazy dazy” morning in my house, and everything is all pajamas and pancakes.  Then you quickly realize you have to have a plan to keep everyone reasonably busy and smiling - especially through the witching hours.

Plan a Little Kentucky Derby Playdate

All this talk about ponies, big hats, and mint juleps got me inspired to plan a Little Kentucky Derby Playdate with some friends this weekend!  Given our little friends have no idea what OR when the big Derby race happens, these adorable activites are good for any day of the year (and will be used again and again in our house)!

Birthday Party Etiquette

Here are what I consider the 5 rules of birthday party etiquette to get you and your guests on the same page.  Find your happy place, where you can plan and enjoy a fastastic celebration of your little one's big day.
