Gretchen Rings has been a Chicagoan since 2005, when she and her husband Steve moved to the Hyde Park neighborhood for his position at the University of Chicago. She is a Digital Services Librarian at the Oak Park Public Library, and is always ready to share a book suggestion to anyone who is looking for one. An avid runner, she enjoys running along Lake Michigan, even during the long winter months. Since her son Elliott's diagnosis in 2013, she has become a passionate autism advocate, particularly for parents seeking autism services in the Chicagoland area.
