Dana joined NPN after her twins were born in 2011 for some much needed new mom support.  After participating in a new moms group and the Multiples group, she started volunteering as the Andersonville/Edgewater Neighborhood co-chair in 2012 setting up family-friendly events monthly. In 2013;she was excited to be hired by NPN for Administrative Support surrounding the online directory for schools and daycares. Dana has a BSW from Valparaiso University and a Master of Social Work degree from UIC. Dana has experience working with families through the Early Intervention program and as a school social worker. She loves helping families and neighbors connect and share resources in Chicago! Dana lives with her husband Dave, their twins Abby and Isaac, and their dog Babs.

How to make moving easier for your kids

My husband and I have moved a few times since getting married. Moving is not fun by any means (especially in Chicago where you have to get creative with rental truck parking, lots of stairs, etc.), but we’ve always managed it by renting a truck and coaxing friends to help us with the promise of pizza and beer. Being an Andersonville Mom...

Seeing Double
