Why 90 Minutes? CPS Longer School Day Update

The second gathering of the CPS Longer School Day Advisory committee was held last week. The main focus of the conversation centered on implementing a longer school day in the high schools. But a few other concerns that seem to keep popping up were addressed.

While NPN does not take a formal position on advocacy issues, it is in keeping with our mission to provide a resource and forum for our members to share information and opinions on any “hot topics” that are relevant to raising children in the city.

The following statement was released by the Raise Your Hand Coalition regarding state budget cuts to education.
