Jasmine’s passion for health and wellbeing stems from her own childhood.  While her love of cooking and baking from scratch came from her own mom’s kitchen, Jasmine grew up drinking pop and hating her veggies.  As a result, she was overweight and led an inactive lifestyle.  It wasn’t until high school where Jasmine became involved in sports, that she lost weight and began to appreciate what it meant to live a healthy. Limit screen time for a happier, healthier kid

Recently, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) changed its rules for screen time for children to meet more modern times. Much has changed since I had my first child in 2007, back when iPhones had just come out and iPads did not exist. Back to school doesn't have to mean back to germs

Follow these simple steps to keep germs at bay and your family healthy:

1. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds using mild, soapy water. The Center for Disease Control posted guidelines on when and how to wash your hands this past summer at Handwashing: Clean Hands Saves Lives.
