Erin Carlson is a full-time legal secretary.  In 2010 she became a first-time mother to daughter, Sydney Grace.  She is originally from Nebraska but has lived in Chicago since 1993, currently in Albany Park.  She has been a NPN member since 2010.

Holiday Traditions

As parents, our first and most important job is providing our children with basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter and love.  But, I realized there is something else that is almost as important:  I am responsible for my daughter’s childhood experience – her childhood memories.  I want those memories to be unforgettable and in order to make that happen, I have to put the time and effort in now.

The New City - From a New Mom's Perspective

I have lived in the Chicago area for 18 years and it seems the longer I live here, the smaller it feels. So it came as a surprise, after the birth of my daughter in 2010, that Chicago suddenly seemed unfamiliar. I realized my needs in the city had drastically changed.
