1. On paper, how much of a mortgage can you afford for a new home if you do NOT sell your current home?
On paper, the bank is not going to count rental income on your current ho...

Feeling good about your post baby body isn’t an easy task. In fact, feeling good about your body is NEVER an easy task. Like many women I’ve struggled with my own body image for years. Much of that is because I love food, and as people who know me will tell you, I have a pretty hearty appetite for a woman. Sure I’m still carrying a few...Posted on September 24, 2012 at 6:00 AM
The Round 2 letter from Chicago Public Schools Office of Access and Enrollment arrived. The selective enrollment testing process had been low-key for our daughter. Instead of formal “prepping,” we maintained our routines and didn’t talk about the test. This approach may have backfired. Leela told me she mostly ignored the assessor’s questions, telling stories instead. “There goes that,” I thought.
Then Leela was offered a spot in a kindergarten options program! With one week to decide,...Posted on September 21, 2012 at 6:00 AM
Having a baby can be extremely overwhelming. And it’s natural for us to think of the baby first and ourselves last. The irony is that we need to take care of ourselves so that we can be the best moms and dads!
When my daughter was first born, I can’t even tell you how many times I found myself starving at random hours in the day and staring at an empty refrigerator (when was the last time I was able to go grocery shopping or actually cook a meal??). What I’d end up doing is heading to ...Posted on September 20, 2012 at 6:00 AM

Here are a few tips that I received from some of my friends, Amy and Laura who often run with their little boys. These tips will help me master stroller entrtainment when Grace is old enough to start expressing her opinion on our our fitness plan...Posted on September 19, 2012 at 7:00 AM
