From parties celebrating Thomas the Train to the Kaledoscope Family Festival at The Art Institute, family fun abounds all over Chicagoland!  Grab the kids, and go have some kid-sized fun!

#1 All Aboard Thomas

#2. Laurie Berkner - The You & Me Tour

Pack a yummy picnic, and dance and sing along to nationaly acclaimed kindie musician Laurie Berkner.

#3. Kaleidescope Family Festival

  • The Art Institute of Chicago

Join The Art Institute for a free day of discovery, creativity, and family fun in the Ryan Education Center. Explore art-making and activity stations all over the museum for all ages (teens too!), led by staff from Family Programs and their cultural partners

#4. Wicker Park Fest

  • Milwaukee Ave. (between North & Paulina)
  • Saturday & Sunday, 12pm-10pm
  • $5 suggested donation
  • All ages

The entire family will have fun at this classic Chicago street festival.  The dedicated kids area will feature activities and performances by Mary Macaroni and Don't Speak (a No Doubt cover Band)

  • Saturday & Sunday, 12-10pm

Enjoy 40+ musical acts and a dedicated kids area with a giant slide, pony rides, arts and crafts, puppets and live entertainment.
