Once sleep, potty and preschool issues are over, do you find yourself needing support and information on issues pertaining to your older child? Did you ever wish that there was an NPN group for parents of big kids? Then you've found it with the Elementary School Plus Group.
The focus of this group is educational and behavioral issues of bigger kids. To date, we've had programs on homework, navigating middle school successfully and study skills. In future, we plan programs on teaching your child to organize his/her stuff, financing your child's education and the high school admissions process.
We're ALWAYS looking for any/all of the following: ideas for new programs, expert speakers, businesses which would like to donate raffle items to be raffled off at programs,ways of getting the word out to parents who are not NPN members and new volunteer coordinators for Elementary School Plus. Join us for a lively and interactive discussion on study skills. Learn how to recognize the signs of poor study skills and come away with strategies to help your child develop a skills critical to academic success at any age--note taking, time management and organization.
