Our 6th annual fair is dedicated to providing Chicago families with school options, service providers and other resources that focus on serving parents of children with developmental differences.
Designed for families with children ages infant through 8th grade. RSVP below to expedite your check-in process.
Categories of needs include, but are not limited to developmental delays (i.e., speech, motor skills), sensory processing disorder, autism, ADD/ADHD, PDD-NOS, mixed receptive-expressive language disorder, Down Syndrome, and physical disabilities.
Note: We recommend, where possible, to make this an adult-only event. This convention style event and workshops are not ideal for children. See our list of exhibitors (updated weekly) and more information for parents here.

- Advocating for therapy: You'll learn how school-based services (including Early Intervention, occupational therapy and speech therapy) differ from outpatient (private) services. You'll also get a brief overview of ABA vs Floortime and learn about neuropsychological testing.
- Advocating in CPS: A panel of CPS parents of kids who have IEPs will discuss how they worked to secure the best education and care possible through Chicago Public Schools.
- Advocating beyond traditional therapies: Experts offer resources that are available to families beyond that of basic therapies, such as IEP consultants, experts who can help navigate health insurance, programming and more.

We are also a preferred provider for the State of Illinois’s Early Intervention Program servicing the Birth to three population. At Lumiere, we make it easy to take the first step. Our Parent Support Specialists are skilled in navigating the Early Intervention Program as a direct liaison.

CST Academy is a therapeutic preschool program for children ages two through five founded by Karen George, an elite and sought-after speech-language pathologist. CST Academy offers speech therapy, as well as occupational therapy, feeding therapy, and ABA therapy all in a preschool environment. The program serves as a gateway to language enrichment, academic growth, and social skill development. CST Academy is structured in a way that satisfies the behavioral and multisensory needs of students. Every component of CST Academy's daily routine is diligently planned by the lead teacher, who is also a full licensed and certified speech-language pathologist. CST Academy offers ABA therapy based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), an evidenced-based approach that is highly effective with young children.
