Stories and Songs and The Artist's Studio @ Lurie Garden and The Art Institute

Multiples

Enjoy a morning filled with nature-based stories, music and movement with your little ones! Chicago-based teacher and singer/songwriter Shana Harvey will lead you and your child in an interactive singalong with folk songs from all over the world.

Shana is a teaching artist with both Old Town School of Folk Music and Ravinia who think that an urban garden is truly something to sing about! Snacks, blankets and music-makers are welcome! Children of all ages are welcome. Preregistration is required.  Please follow this link to register http://www.eventbrite.com/event/3782078298/eorg

If your little ones are up for it, you can then walk over and take advantage of The Artist's Studio in the Ryan Education Center at The Art Institute of Chicago.  There children of all ages will have the chance to explore Roy Lichtenstein’s pop patterns through brushstrokes, stencils, and alternative tools to create artwork.  Admission is not required.

Lurie Garden is located at the Southeast end of Millenium Park.  The entrance to the Ryan Education Center of the Art Institute is most easily accessed from the Monroe entrance.

***Neither of these programs are exclusively for our group, nor will they be accomodating us as a group.  Rather, they are a great meeting place to interact and mingle with other families with multiples.
