NPN Speaker Information & Agreement

NPN events are an amazing way to support Chicago families and share your expertise and advice with our community!  We appreciate your contribution of your time and talents as a speaker for NPN.  We are proud to offer our parents direct access to experts like you!  Please take a moment to review our speaker guidelines below. You may contact jay@npnparents.org with any additional questions.  We look forward to working with and introducing you to our NPN family!  By volunteering to become a speaker, you are agreeing to the following guidelines.

NPN Speaker Guidelines

• Check that your NPN membership is current.
• Provide NPN staff with a detailed program description (including seminar title) and outline of key topics to be discussed. After review, the event will be posted on our website.
• Work with NPN staff to understand member/audience demographics and tailor program accordingly.
• Ensure program presents quality and accurate information that takes into account the many different families types represented in NPN- (ex. same sex parents, various socio-economic brackets, different ethnic backgrounds, etc.).
• Provide enough handouts/materials for all attendees. All materials will need NPN approval prior to the event.
• Notify NPN of any audio/visual needs at least three weeks prior to your event and be flexible in instances where a screen/projector may not be available.
• Given that all members will not be able to attend your event, please submit a guest blog recapping the event and key points. Blog guidelines are available at http://npnparents.org/guest-blogging-for-npn.
• Promote event to your contacts via your website, email, and social media outlets.
• Post the NPN Proud Member badge on your website and follow us on Facebook and Twitter
• Provide a donation of services/product for event’s raffle.
